Converge works with partners to conceive, design and implement campaigns that frame issues, advance action, change policy, build public will, and cultivate alignment and support for social change.

Examples:

National Birth Equity Collaborative
Converge Principal Takema Robinson helped found the National Birth Equity Collaborative (NBEC), which aims to reduce Black maternal and infant mortality through research, family-centered collaboration and advocacy. Click here to learn more about NBEC.

Greater New Orleans Funders Network Criminal Justice Action Table
Converge helped lead the Criminal Justice Action Table of the Greater New Orleans Funders Network (GNOFN) in implementing a campaign to shift policy around criminal justice. The campaign engaged local and national funders, communications experts and grassroots organizers and successfully promoted the passage of the Louisiana Justice Reinvestment recommendations in 2017, a package of ten bills introduced by Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards to reduce the state’s atrocious incarceration rate over the next ten years.

New Orleans Campaign for Grade-Level Reading
Converge, in partnership with the United Way of Southeast Louisiana and Institute of Mental Hygiene, developed a city-wide campaign to improve third-grade reading proficiency in New Orleans by improving school readiness, decreasing chronic absence and stemming summer learning loss.
