Convening Development

  • Case Study:
    Arthur Blank Foundation

The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation (AMBFF) is a philanthropic organization supporting a range of projects. It launched a new Democracy program as one of the new collective areas of giving. Believing that voting rights are important and its home state of Georgia is at the center of this struggle, AMBFF aimed to strengthen key democracy organizations to be resilient for the long haul. This Democracy portfolio includes 12 nonprofits that represent a diverse set of organizations with a strong presence in Georgia and the Southeast. AMBFF wanted to create an inclusive relationship with and among these grantees to share ideas, best practices, lessons, and challenges.

Converge is designing high quality learning communities to support AMBFF’s Democracy program. We are conducting 1:1 meetings with grantees and collaboratively identifying regional strategies. We are facilitating three democracy learning community sessions and prepared grantees for participation at the AMBFF Democracy Summit. Converge is also developing and facilitating the convening of this Summit.
