On June 11-12th, Converge facilitated a retreat for Funders for LGBTQ Issues, who works to increase the scale and impact of philanthropic resources aimed at enhancing the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer communities, promoting equity, and advancingracial, economic and gender justice.

We had a blast working with the Funders’ staff and boardmembers to flesh out their plan for increasing philanthropic support for queer communities over the next five years. They are an incredibly engaged and vibrant group and it was a pleasure to be able to dig into their work and help them plan their future.

One of the best parts of working for Converge is being able to work with partners who are changing the conversation around philanthropic investments in queer communities. As an organizing force, Funders for LGBTQ Issues facilitates collective action, drawing like-minded funders together to make strong investments in bold organizations working for equity. We appreciated the opportunity to help them articulate their vision and strategy for the next phase of their work. As we work with them to ground-truth and finalize the plan, we’re inspired by their energy and passion. We’re looking forward to seeing how they grown into the plan andmake it rain for queer communities!
